Stena Estrid advantages
E-flexer class
The Stena Estrid, introduced in 2020, is part of Stena Line’s E-Flexer class a new generation of ferries designed to deliver a quieter, more efficient, and more comfortable crossing. This makes it objectively more modern than other cruise ferries on this route.
- Space and comfort: The Estrid features a bright, Scandinavian-inspired interior with open public areas, wide walkways, and spacious lounges. Seating is well-spaced, offering noticeably more room, even on busier sailings.
- Quiet and stable travel: The vessel’s advanced hull design and modern engine insulation make for a smoother, quieter journey — especially in rougher weather.
- Environmental efficiency: As part of the E-Flexer class, the Estrid consumes up to 25% less fuel per passenger compared to older ships like the Ulysses, according to Stena Line’s own sustainability reports.
- Modern onboard facilities, including stronger Wi-Fi, improved climate control, USB charging points at many seats, and quiet work zones, make the ship well-suited to both leisure and business travellers.
